Our Purpose: To promote the prevention of domestic and sexual violence, to enhance victim safety  and to hold batterers accountable.

Our Goals:

1. To develop and implement primary prevention strategies.
2. To facilitate and implement a coordinated community response to domestic violence.
3. To provide ongoing education and assessment of the coordinated community response.

Injunction for Protection
How to file for an injunction for protection.  If you are  a victim of domestic violence you may obtain  assistance in filing for an injunction at the  office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court in  the Clearwater or St. Petersburg location:

Domestic Violence Awareness Month evolved from the first Day of Unity observed in October, 1981 by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

The intent was to connect battered women’s advocates across the nation who were working to end violence against women and their children. The Day of Unity soon became a special week when a range of activities were conducted at the local, state, and national levels.  Read more...
