RESOURCE CENTER FOR WOMEN OPENS FUND-RAISER BOUTIQUE
The Resource Center for Women (RCW) has joined with Toucan’s Coffee
House and Pie Factory to raise funds by selling unique, specialty
items at Toucan’s Boutique. Toucan’s Boutique is located inside
Toucan’s Coffee House and Pie Factory at 12777 Walsingham Road in
Largo. Bobbie Barmore, owner of Toucan’s Coffee House and Pie Factory
has opened the boutique specifically to raise funds for RCW programs.
Boutique items include handcrafted woman pins, beaded bracelets and
aromatherapy gift bags, and “flash” jewelry. The suppliers of these
items are contributing fifty percent of the sales to The Empowerment
Bag Program, a program that provides hand-sewn tote bags containing
empowerment tools to new residents in community domestic violence
shelters and to clients that complete the RCW programs. In addition to
Toucan’s Boutique, RCW is selling the items at its Largo location and
at various community events.
Toucan’s Boutique is closed on Mondays, open Tuesdays and Wednesdays
10a-6p, Thursday-Friday 10a-8p, Saturdays 10a-9p and Sundays 11a-4p.
The RCW Largo location is open M-F 9a-5p.
Visit the RCW web page at www.resourcecenterforwomen.org for more
information on where to purchase the specialty items and to learn how
you can support RCW programs.
