Please be advised that effective October 1, 2004, the mental health treatment cap will be raised from $1500 to $2000 for bills received on or after the effective date. This will include payment for minor witnesses, non-injury psychological treatment (due to a forcible felony) and regular MH treatment for adults. Victims who have reached the $1500 cap will be eligible to receive an additional $500 for crimerelated MH expenses. Bills previously received and made not payable based on the $1500 cap can be considered for payment if they are brought to your attention and a request for payment is made. Please pass this information along to the appropriate people within your organization. As always, you may call me at the number below with any questions.
