New Program Aimed At Better Child Support | Print |  E-mail
A new program will assist non-custodial parents to overcome obstacles that prevent them from paying child support. In August, the Pottawatomie/Lincoln County District Attorney's Child Support Enforcement Division began the Court Liaison Program. The Court Liaison helps non-paying parents find and keep jobs, so they can pay their child support.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Domestic Violence Awareness Month evolved from the first Day of Unity observed in October, 1981 by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

The intent was to connect battered women’s advocates across the nation who were working to end violence against women and their children. The Day of Unity soon became a special week when a range of activities were conducted at the local, state, and national levels.  Read more...

In New York you can now order a license plate that has “ Peace at Home” over the image of a dove.
They give $25 of the annual fee for the plate to support the Domestic Violence Awareness Fund.
